Training & Equipment

Highly-Trained, Dedicated Personnel You Can Rely On ...

In difficult economic times, one of the first things many security agencies cut back on is training, but not at SecureTrans Security.

As a potential client, you can rest assured that we are dedicated to providing you with only the most qualified, most committed security personnel.

Following are just some of the training and experience our employees possess:
  • Our senior managers have substantial experience providing security services for all types of commercial properties including high-rise office and mixed-use buildings, office campus parks, technology firms, manufacturing and processing plants, refineries, shopping malls, residential complexes, banks, medical clinics, convention centers, retail shops, cruise line terminals, distribution and warehouse facilities, and cargo terminals.
  • Our Facility Security Officers (33 CFR Part 105.205) are all trained in conducting Facility Security Assessments, writing and implementing Facility Security Plans, and developing programs and security procedures required under the ISPS Code and 33 CFR regulations. In addition, all of our FSO staff is trained in C-TPAT.
  • For the cruise industry, where security is “mission-critical,” we conduct officer-training programs that require a substantially higher standard for all of our officers than what is required by other security providers. As a result of this training, over the past three years at cruise line terminals, our security officers have been responsible for screening more than 2 million passengers, thousands of vehicles, and over 6 million pieces of luggage. We have located and confiscated 27 concealed firearms and over 8000 other prohibited items including knives.
  • SecureTrans has developed the most comprehensive private industry explosive detection K-9 program in the Western U.S. SecureTrans currently employs two explosive detection K-9 teams. Our K-9 officers undergo 400 hours of pre-assignment training at the prestigious Auburn University K-9 program, the same program where all Federal Protective Services K-9 handlers are trained. After completing training, all K-9 teams undergo an additional 208 hours per year of training and are required to annually certify to the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Center's explosive detection K-9 standard. K-9 officers are armed.
  • SecureTrans Security also provides one of the finest Special Response Teams in the private sector. The majority of our SRT officers are former SWAT Team members from public law enforcement agencies and the U.S. military. All SRT members must complete a Basic SWAT course and complete no less than 192 hours per year of additional training.
  • All patrol officers must complete no less than 232 hours of pre-assignment training before being assigned to a Field Training Officer for an additional 90 hours of Field Training. All patrol officers and supervisors must complete an additional 40-60 hours of training annually, which includes: Judgmental Use of Force and Active Shooter Response (2 annual firearms qualifications - the WA State armed guard qualification and the Department of Energy Pistol Qualification Course for SPO III's)

Now here is training that all high-quality security service companies should provide to their employees:

  • First Aid/CPR/AED
  • Expandable Baton
